PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Juju Chavez (ranked 6223 p4p, 24425 weight class) and Trike Quicky (ranked 294 p4p, 338 weight class). Quicky has chosen Wonâ€™t Let Go as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez misses with a combination

and Quicky counters with a shoot takedown. Chavez fights it but they end up in guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chavez scores with a hook to the body. Quicky takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Quicky fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Chavez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Quicky napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Quicky is looking for a sweep.
Quicky is not content to let Chavez control the position.

Quicky gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Chavez lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Chavez content just to control the position here.
Quicky is squirming around, avoiding Chavez's attempts to control the action.
Quicky has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Quicky wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chavez has managed to slip his arm under Quicky's chin. This could be all over... yep, Quicky is tapping out! Submission win for Chavez.

In his post fight interview, Juju Chavez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Trike Quicky spoke after the fight, saying 'Aw man, not again. I hate losing. But I will come back stronger! '.
