Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thorn Pierce (ranked 4877 p4p, 6307 weight class) and Anson Jones (ranked 144 p4p, 175 weight class). Pierce comes to the cage accompanied by Genesis. Jones is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Big Show. Thorn Pierce is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anson Jones!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Pierce, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pierce closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jones quickly recovers to half guard.

Jones manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Pierce keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Jones is trying to trip Pierce. He has hold of a leg but Pierce is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones is in close to Pierce's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Jones distracts Pierce with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jones chips away with some ground and pound.
Jones is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Pierce is breathing heavily.
Jones scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Jones stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Jones throws a jab when Pierce was well out of range.
Pierce changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Jones drives through and clinches with Pierce against the cage.

Jones pulls Pierce into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jones holds on and takes a little breather.

Pierce content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Jones has locked up a guillotine! Jones's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Pierce is holding on here and Jones must be using up a lot of energy. Pierce has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Jones gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
