The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magic stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Magic wants it to stay on the feet.
Magic looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Mandingo McMaggara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McMaggara tests Magic's chin there with a solid looking shot.
McMaggara scores with a shot to the body.
Magic misses with a hook.
A slow jab from Magic misses its intended target.
McMaggara seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Magic fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
McMaggara tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Magic defends well and McMaggara ends up having to push Magic into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

McMaggara breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Magic lands a really nice looking cross but McMaggara seems unphased.

Magic looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McMaggara gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McMaggara moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

McMaggara doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
McMaggara looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
McMaggara looks to score with a jab to the body but Magic is just out of range.
No luck for McMaggara with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mandingo McMaggara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McMaggara with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Magic to score with a decent uppercut.
Nice defenses there by Magic.
McMaggara takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Magic slaps away a takedown attempt from McMaggara, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Magic is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! McMaggara had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
McMaggara fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Magic manages to avoid it.
Magic might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
McMaggara fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A nice side step and Magic releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Magic cracks McMaggara with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Magic has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning McMaggara to stand back up!
Oh McMaggara is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McMaggara misses with a body shot
and Magic counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks McMaggara out cold! What a finish! Magic is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

A relieved looking Big Magic thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
