Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutas Maximus (ranked 6837 p4p, 5932 weight class) and Rudi Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brutas Maximus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rudi Roberts!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Roberts with that takedown attempt.
Maximus is looking for a counter combo.
Maximus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roberts as he jumps to the side.
Roberts misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Maximus.
It looked like Maximus was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Roberts.
Roberts rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Maximus counters with a left and a right that stings Roberts.
Roberts throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maximus with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Roberts closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Maximus to the mat! Maximus manages to get full guard.
Maximus has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Roberts has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Roberts fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Roberts is pressed up against the cage. Maximus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Roberts down to the mat. Roberts avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Roberts closes the distance and clinches.
Maximus tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Maximus breaks the clinch.
Maximus shoots for a double leg takedown but Roberts sprawls well. He's pushed Maximus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Roberts drives through and clinches with Maximus against the cage.
Roberts has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Maximus is trying to keep an underhook but Roberts manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roberts wants to stand up but Maximus has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Roberts looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Maximus is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Roberts's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Roberts's back!
I really don't envy Roberts right now.
Roberts has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Maximus.
Roberts trying to control the position but Maximus manages to sink in the hooks.
Maximus has the hooks in. Roberts is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roberts just trying to survive but Maximus is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Roberts turns into Maximus and is now in his guard.
Maximus looking to hit a scissor sweep but Roberts is one step ahead there.
Roberts is fighting to break Maximus's control of his arms but Maximus is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Maximus lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Maximus won't allow Roberts to get back to his feet.

Maximus is fighting to break Roberts's control of his arms but Roberts is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Roberts throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
It looked like Maximus was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Maximus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Roberts pinned against the cage. Roberts gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Roberts closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Roberts turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Maximus explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The crowd cheers as Roberts lands an impressive looking overhand right. Maximus doesn't seem phased though.

Roberts tries a knee to the head but Maximus blocks it.

Roberts dives in and grabs Maximus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maximus pushes down on Roberts's head and hops out.

Roberts tries to score a power double leg takedown but Maximus sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Roberts somewhat.

Roberts stuffs the takedown attempt from Maximus. Maximus gets slowly back to his feet.
Roberts lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Maximus pushes Roberts off but Roberts dives into side control.
Roberts wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maximus keeps working.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Roberts connects with a nice short shot to Maximus's temple.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rudi Roberts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Roberts has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
