The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Benedetti throws out a leg kick but Bagwis moves out of range and Benedetti only half commits.
Bagwis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Benedetti.

Bagwis looks to land a left hand but Benedetti moved out of range nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Benedetti loads up on a big right hand but Bagwis slips the punch.

Benedetti has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Bagwis drops Benedetti with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Benedetti looks back up at him and smiles so Bagwis waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Benedetti is rocked!
Bagwis lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Benedetti up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Bagwis from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Benedetti's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Huwan Bagwis!
Huwan Bagwis bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
