The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berzina shoots for a double leg takedown but Sova sprawls well. He's pushed Berzina's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Berzina throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sova.
Sova seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Berzina stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sova.

and Sova counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sova lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Berzina has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Berzina and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Berzina clobbers Sova with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

As Berzina looks to move away, Sova throws a big counter combo but Berzina just gets out of the way.
Oh Sova is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sova tries to counter with a takedown but Berzina is quick to defend against it.
Berzina swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sova counters with a low kick, right behind Berzina 's knee.
Sova seems to have got his legs back now.

Ali Berzina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Berzina tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Sova paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Berzina connects with a combination that backs up Sova into the ropes. Berzina lands a flurry of punches that gets past Sova's guard. Sova is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Berzina bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
