PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between BJ Killoshaw (ranked 25301 p4p, 3303 weight class) and Viserys Targaryen (ranked 350 p4p, 192 weight class). Killoshaw's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Can't Stop. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Viserys Targaryen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Killoshaw counters with a shoot takedown. Targaryen fights it but they end up in guard.

Killoshaw wants to get up but he can't break Targaryen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Targaryen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Targaryen has control of Killoshaw's left arm, preventing Killoshaw from doing any damage.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Targaryen is defended easily by Killoshaw.

Targaryen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Killoshaw tries to avoid it but Targaryen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Killoshaw to the ground. Killoshaw escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Targaryen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Killoshaw avoids it really well and circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Targaryen is taking a breather. Killoshaw says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Killoshaw won't allow Targaryen to pass to mount.
