Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Durans Helmsfrid (ranked 5269 p4p, 4087 weight class) and Lido Barr (ranked 577 p4p, 0 weight class). Lido Barr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Helmsfrid misses the target.
Helmsfrid closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Helmsfrid fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barr manages to avoid it.
Helmsfrid takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Barr shoots in looking for a takedown. Helmsfrid tries to sprawl out of it but Barr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Helmsfrid manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Helmsfrid postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Barr badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Helmsfrid around the waist but Helmsfrid pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Helmsfrid is the winner by TKO! Helmsfrid jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
