Alawi has chosen The Ruler of Everything as his entrance music. The key to victory for Juanito Bandito has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Bandito. That's going to slow Alawi down.

Despite the aggression on Alawi's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Juanito Bandito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bandito throws a leg kick which misses Alawi's front leg but catches the back leg as Alawi tries to avoid it.
Alawi shoots for a double leg takedown but Bandito sprawls well. He's pushed Alawi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Juanito Bandito has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tahboule Alawi.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bandito is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Alawi pulls his head out easily.

Alawi winds up and cracks Bandito with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Alawi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bandito wants to improve his position but Alawi is controlling well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alawi has hold of Bandito's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bandito tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Alawi cranks the arm and Bandito screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bandito, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
