Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bernando Rocha (ranked 4927 p4p, 5145 weight class) and Big John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oh, that's a big right hand from John and Rocha goes tumbling to the canvas! John follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
It looks like Bernando Rocha has been cut.

Rocha tries to roll over but John keeps him under control.
Rocha gets back to full guard.
Rocha working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. John doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. John manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rocha isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. John stacks Rocha on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by John!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
John slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
John tries to score with some ground and pound. Rocha controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

John escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rocha gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

John is in trouble now - Rocha has advanced to mount!

Rocha is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but John is surviving well by controlling Rocha's body position as best he can.
Rocha wants to take John's back here but John is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Big John will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Bernando Rocha's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A bone on bone clash there as Rocha blocks the leg kick.

John fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rocha manages to avoid it.
John lands with a shot to the body.

and Rocha cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Big John has been cut.
Rocha misses with a straight right.
John looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
John takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
John moves out of range as Rocha strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
John swings and misses with a hook to the body.

John throws a low kick but Rocha moves out of range easily.
Rocha steps to the side to avoid the strikes from John.

and Rocha counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts John! He's just covering up as Rocha starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Our winner, Bernando Rocha, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
