PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Money Bull (ranked 4930 p4p, 4923 weight class) and Money Support (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Money Bull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Money Support!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Support shoots for a takedown but Bull saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bull throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Support's waist but Support gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bull off to one side.
Support tries to counter by closing the distance.
Support leaves Bull with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Some bone on bone action there as Bull checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Bull shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Support sprawls well. Support wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bull gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Money Bull. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bull throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Support moves in looking to clinch but Bull pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Support fails to land the takedown.
Bull tries a head kick but it misses.

Support gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Support goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bull prevents it.

Bull pulls guard.

Bull pushes Support off and scrambles back to his feet.

Support fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bull, pushing him back against the cage.
Bull lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Support is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bull is defending well.

Bull breaks the clinch.
Bull stuffs the takedown attempt from Support. Support gets slowly back to his feet.
Support closes the distance and clinches up with Bull, looking for a takedown. Support pushes Bull against the cage but Bull circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bull shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Support but Support pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Support wants to clinch up but Bull keeps it at a distance.

Support takes the fight into the clinch.
Bull content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Support stops a takedown attempt from Bull.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bull prevents Support from breaking the clinch.
Bull has Support pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Support manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bull is looking for a takedown.

Bull pulls guard successfully.
Bull has Support pulled in close to control his posture.
Support postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Support stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Support gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Support tries to break free but Bull pushes him back against the cage.

Bull jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bull is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Support is aware though and is defending well.

Support got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bull has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Support has managed to get both his arms back between Bull's legs - danger averted.
Bull has a closed guard, preventing Support from standing up.
Support wants to pass the guard but Bull is keeping the position.

Support wants to get up but he can't break Bull's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Support throws a series of punches but Bull avoids them all with ease.
Support shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bull pinned against the cage. Bull gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Support throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bull's waist but Bull gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Support off to one side.

Bull fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Support avoids it really well and circles away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Money Bull dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Support shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bull tries to counter with a takedown but Support is quick to defend against it.
Bull slaps away a takedown attempt from Support, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bull tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Support defends well and Bull ends up having to push Support into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Support unleashes a big counter combination but Bull bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Bull is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Support can do to turn this around?

Bull jumps guard and drags Support to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Support tries to stand but Bull is controlling from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bull has his foot on Support's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Support works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bull pushes Support off and gets back to his feet.
Support throws out a powerful jab.

Bull cracks Support with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Support slaps away a takedown attempt from Bull, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Support with a lazy takedown attempt
and Bull makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Money Bull has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Money Support.
Support is breathing heavily.
Bull tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Support is able to avoid easily.
Money Bull is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Bull counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Support thinking.
Bull doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Support counters by clinching up.
Support is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bull gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Bull's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bull throws a right and a left that Support avoids nicely.
Bull shoots in looking for a takedown but Support manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bull's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
And Support responds with a good body kick, but Bull manages to step out the way in time.
Bull tries for a takedown but Support sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Support tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A counter left hand to the body from Bull misses its target.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Support wants to take the fight to the mat but Bull manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Support is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bull to keep the fight standing.
Bull lands a shoulder strike.

Support avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bull keeping moving, preventing Support from controlling successfully.
Support loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Support fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bull manages to avoid it.
Support looks for the body kick but Bull saw that one coming.

Support stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Support wants it to stay on the feet.
Support avoids the head kick by Bull.
Bull tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Support swivels and escapes.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Bull darts in looking for a takedown but Support gets double underhooks and turns Bull into the cage.

Bull drops down looking for an ankle pick but Support pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Bull counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Bull shoots in for a double leg but Support sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bull clinches up against the cage.
Support tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bull smiles and moves away.
Nice takedown defense from Support. No joy for Bull on that attempt.
Support shoots in and drives through. Bull sprawls well.
Bull fails to land the takedown.
Support is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Support swings for the body but Bull moves out of range.

Support misses with a takedown attempt - Bull sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bull's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bull duly obliges.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Support gets to his feet - Bull follows without any prompting.
Support tries to clinch but Bull is having none of it.

Support trying to stall but Bull improves his position.

Support drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bull gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Support wants to clinch up but Bull keeps it at a distance.
Money Support has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Money Bull is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Support with a poor takedown
and Bull counters with a nice body shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
Money Bull showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bull, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
