The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cejudo shoots in for a takedown but Menard shows good takedown defense.
Menard is looking to counter the offense by Cejudo and move into the clinch.
Cejudo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Menard tries for a takedown but Cejudo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Menard creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
