PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thorsten Quinell (ranked 5319 p4p, 5820 weight class) and Rocky Fortuna (ranked 669 p4p, 697 weight class). Fortuna has chosen Godfather Theme by Nino Rota as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortuna misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Fortuna gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Fortuna lands with a light punch inside.
Fortuna pushes off an throws an elbow but Quinell leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Quinell tries to pull guard but Fortuna holds him up against the cage and eventually Quinell drops back down to his feet.

Quinell manages to break the clinch.
Fortuna stuffs the takedown.
A nice side step and Fortuna releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Quinell manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fortuna on his heels. He'll look to pass Fortuna's guard now, I'm sure.

Quinell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fortuna is just riding it out for now. Quinell eventually gives up the hold.

Fortuna rushes Quinell and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Quinell is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Fortuna piles on the pressure and Quinell crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Rocky Fortuna started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
