Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burroughs connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Filho fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Burroughs avoids it really well and circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Burroughs. No joy for Filho on that attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Burroughs! But no joy.

As Filho backs off Burroughs throws a huge counter combo but Filho manages to avoid it all.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Filho. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Burroughs scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Filho doesn't seem bothered though.
Burroughs cracks Filho with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Filho looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Burroughs finish him?
Filho misses with a takedown
and Burroughs counters with a huge left! Filho is in big trouble! He's backing up but Burroughs isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Filho from any more damage. A dominating finish by Burroughs!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Burroughs!
Jimmy Burroughs made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'What kind of loser tests his fighters against each other in a three minute match to reveal hiddens? That trash is ruining the game. Too bad you still can’t slider ;)'.
