PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Snapple Grapple (ranked 3584 p4p, 2228 weight class) and Peter Tiernan (ranked 343 p4p, 235 weight class). Peter Tiernan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiernan circles away from the clinch attempt.

Grapple scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've been hearing that Grapple has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Grapple will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Grapple has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tiernan is looking for a sweep. Grapple is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Grapple is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tiernan is just riding it out for now. Grapple eventually gives up the hold.

Grapple is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tiernan has managed to free his arm - good work.

Grapple seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tiernan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Snapple Grapple really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that UN-KAGED SAVAGE PEDS logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
