Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Affectionately Eve (ranked 24198 p4p, 24424 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Affectionately Eve!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Salvacion throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Eve was covering up waiting for the punch and Salvacion finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eve is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Eve pushes Salvacion off and scrambles back to his feet.

Eve gets a double leg takedown into Salvacion's guard.

Salvacion shoots in looking for a takedown. Eve tries to sprawl out of it but Salvacion keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Eve manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Eve blocks it well.

Horrible takedown attempt by Eve or perhaps it was just good defense by Salvacion, which made it look bad.
Eve will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Eve shoots in looking for a takedown but Salvacion manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eve's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A counter left hand to the body from Eve misses its target.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Eve decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Salvacion closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Eve quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Affectionately Eve overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
