The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dos Santos drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Brzozowhik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dos Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brzozowhik pushes Dos Santos off and gets back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dos Santos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brzozowhik is just riding it out for now. Dos Santos eventually gives up the hold.

Brzozowhik holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Brzozowhik changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dos Santos tries to avoid it but Brzozowhik manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dos Santos to the ground. Dos Santos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Brzozowhik enables Dos Santos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brzozowhik manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Brzozowhik has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Dos Santos is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Brzozowhik wants a takedown.

Brzozowhik has hold of one of Dos Santos's legs. Dos Santos is fighting the takedown attempt but Brzozowhik gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
