PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trent Punchy (ranked 4727 p4p, 6371 weight class) and Karma Usher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Trent Punchy has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Trent Punchy seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Usher gets a clinch.
Punchy is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Usher is defending well.
Punchy being controlled against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Usher.
Punchy wants to take the fight to the mat but Usher manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Punchy has hold of one of Usher's legs. Usher is fighting the takedown attempt but Punchy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Punchy content to stall in guard here.
Punchy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Punchy trying to control but Usher is working from the bottom.
Usher wants to stand and escape but Punchy is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Punchy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Usher is looking to stand up but Punchy isn't so interested in that idea.
Punchy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Punchy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Usher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Punchy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Usher can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Punchy controls the pace.
Usher wants to stand but Punchy is controlling the position.
Usher has momentary wrist control but Punchy slips an elbow through the middle.

Usher is looking to stand up but Punchy isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Punchy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Usher sprawls well initially but Punchy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Usher looks like he's trying to stand up.
Well, if Punchy is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Punchy maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Usher could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Punchy has cracked it and Usher is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Punchy!
