Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Holmes (ranked 2288 p4p, 2924 weight class) and Dick Hickock (ranked 248 p4p, 326 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Holmes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mama Said Knock You Out. Hans Holmes could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dick Hickock's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Holmes seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Holmes misses with a right hand
and Hickock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Hans Holmes has been cut.
Holmes connects with a single shot there.
Holmes throws a lazy right hand but Hickock sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Holmes sends Hickock crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Holmes is motioning to the referee to let Hickock up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Hickock is rocked!

It looks like Dick Hickock has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Holmes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Holmes there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hickock is still on wobbly legs! Can Holmes finish him?
Holmes throws a jab but it's blocked by Hickock.
Holmes throws a big shot that misses.
Holmes throws a head kick but Hickock moves out of range.
Hickock blocks a head kick by Holmes.
Hickock appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Hickock seems to have recovered his senses.
Holmes misses with a telegraphed body shot

Hickock looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Holmes connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Holmes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hickock connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Holmes scrambles back to his feet.
Hans Holmes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Holmes throws a sloppy head kick and Hickock moves out of range easily.

and Hickock counters with a stiff right hand.

Holmes swings and misses with a shot to the body
letting Hickock counter with a right hand.
A head kick misses from Holmes.
Holmes tries a head kick but it misses.
Hickock uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Holmes.

Holmes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hickock throws a looping overhand right but Holmes ducks down to avoid it.

Hickock throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Holmes looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Holmes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Holmes fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hickock on the side of the head.
Hickock stuns Holmes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Holmes walks into a stiff left hand from Hickock.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Hickock counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Holmes is rocked!

Hans Holmes's cut is getting worse.
Holmes is holding his hands too far apart here. Hickock throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Holmes is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
