Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rico Salvacion (ranked 24551 p4p, 24321 weight class) and Affectionately Eve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Affectionately Eve has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Affectionately Eve!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Eve.
Salvacion jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Nice takedown defense from Eve. No joy for Salvacion on that attempt.
Eve drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Salvacion defends it well.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Eve shoots for a double leg takedown but Salvacion sprawls well. He's pushed Eve's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Eve darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Eve takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Salvacion is concentrating on defense, preventing Eve from advancing position.
Eve perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Eve can do anything to dispel that myth.

Eve is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Eve keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Eve follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Affectionately Eve will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Eve shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Salvacion manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Salvacion bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Eve's guard.

Eve has control of Salvacion's left arm, preventing Salvacion from doing any damage.

Eve has his feet on Salvacion's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Salvacion drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Eve is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Eve has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Salvacion has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Eve escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Eve throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Salvacion was covering up waiting for the punch and Eve finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Eve is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Salvacion looking to control but Eve passes into half guard.
Eve wants to stand up but Salvacion has a hold of him and won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Salvacion has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Eve is working away from the top position though.
Eve is pressing down on Salvacion's thigh, looking to free his foot. Salvacion is holding on for now.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Eve wants to stand up but Salvacion has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Eve shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Affectionately Eve showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Salvacion has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Eve is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Eve closes this distance looking for a takedown but Salvacion circles away.
Eve fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Salvacion looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Eve drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Eve gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Eve shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Eve counters with a body kick.
Horrible takedown attempt by Salvacion or perhaps it was just good defense by Eve, which made it look bad.
Salvacion closes the distance and clinches up with Eve, looking for a takedown. Salvacion pushes Eve against the cage but Eve circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Eve closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Salvacion did well to prevent Eve getting side control.
