Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pertti Naulakko (ranked 135 p4p, 389 weight class) and Huwan Bagwis (ranked 23 p4p, 66 weight class). Pertti Naulakko is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Huwan Bagwis!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Bagwis.
Naulakko misses with a hook to the body
enabling Bagwis to counter with a crisp jab.
Bagwis lands a nice hook to Naulakko's body. Naulakko takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bagwis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bagwis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Naulakko manages to avoid it.
Bagwis avoids the body shot from Naulakko.
Naulakko misses with a wild body shot.
Naulakko throws a body punch but Bagwis moves out of range.
It seemed like Bagwis was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bagwis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Naulakko.

and Bagwis counters with a nice body shot.

and Bagwis counters with a nice low kick that buckles Naulakko's knee momentarily.
Bagwis moves away from the strike by Naulakko.
Naulakko misses with a looping right.
Bagwis appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Bagwis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bagwis is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Naulakko with a body shot.
A swing and a miss from Bagwis.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Huwan Bagwis will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Bagwis drops Naulakko with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Naulakko looks back up at him and smiles so Bagwis waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Naulakko is rocked!

It looks like Pertti Naulakko has been cut.
Bagwis throws a jab but it's blocked by Naulakko.
Oh Naulakko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Naulakko looks to land a left hand but Bagwis moved out of range nicely.
Bagwis looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Naulakko lands a leg kick that knocks Bagwis off balance momentarily.
Naulakko seems to have got his legs back now.
Naulakko keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bagwis.
Bagwis finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Bagwis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Naulakko sprawling to the canvas! Naulakko rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bagwis finish him?!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Huwan Bagwis seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Naulakko paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Bagwis has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Naulakko throws a low kick but Bagwis moves out of range easily.

A nice inside leg kick there by Naulakko. That's going to slow Bagwis down.
Bagwis takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

and Bagwis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Naulakko avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Naulakko is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Bagwis Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Naulakko is out cold, face down on the mat!

Huwan Bagwis decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
