Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Rider (ranked 2192 p4p, 3636 weight class) and Timo De Vries (ranked 54 p4p, 124 weight class). De Vries has chosen KLOUD - Exit Alive as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Rider!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Timo De Vries!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Vries avoids the head kick by Rider.

Rider throws a wild body kick that De Vries sees coming a mile off.
A nice side step and De Vries releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Rider pivots, looking for a leg kick but De Vries is out of range and Rider settles back down.
De Vries now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that De Vries has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Rider misses with an uppercut
and De Vries makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Rider looks for the body kick but De Vries saw that one coming.
De Vries unleashes a big counter combination but Rider bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Rider misses with a straight right.
De Vries throws out a counter right but Rider avoids it with no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rider swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Despite the aggression on De Vries's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Rider throws an ugly left hook that misses
and De Vries counters with a two punch combo.
Rider throws a solid leg kick but De Vries takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rider.
Rider throws a lazy body kick
and De Vries counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've been told by Rider's head coaches at Battle Science that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Rider scores with a nice body kick.
Rider throws a low kick but it's checked well by De Vries.
De Vries is looking for the big counter here.
Rider misses with a telegraphed body shot
and De Vries counters with a right hand to the body.
Rider swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rider throws a leg kick
and De Vries counters with a left and a right that stings Rider.
An inside leg kick from Rider misses.
Rider tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and De Vries is able to avoid easily.
A nice side step and De Vries releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

You can see the frustration on Rider's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

De Vries is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rider is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

De Vries swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
