PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam Bogo (ranked 3618 p4p, 6472 weight class) and Allen Mack (ranked 330 p4p, 458 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Bogo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Allen Mack!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack throws a looping overhand right but Bogo ducks down to avoid it.
Bogo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mack sprawls and moves away.
Bogo ducks under a wild hook from Mack.
Mack with a jab.
Mack misses with a body shot
and Bogo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Mack is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mack is looking for a sweep. Bogo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mack wants to control but Bogo is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mack is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mack gets back to full guard.
Bogo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mack escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bogo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mack is trying to control the position but Bogo postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bogo trying to control the position from guard on top but Mack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bogo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Bogo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bogo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mack is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bogo, into his guard.
Bogo has his feet on Mack's thighs here. He's pushed Mack off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Mack screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Adam Bogo!
