Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Riyu Mendes (ranked 3643 p4p, 6126 weight class) and Branibar Voiwar (ranked 464 p4p, 642 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Riyu Mendes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Branibar Voiwar!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Voiwar.
Mendes takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Mendes takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Mendes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Voiwar throws a head kick but Mendes moves out of range.
Voiwar takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mendes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Voiwar connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mendes scrambles back to his feet.
Voiwar throws a nice outside leg kick.
Voiwar looks to throw a body kick
and Mendes counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Mendes misses the jab.
Voiwar throws a low kick, looking for Mendes's leg but Mendes calmly moves out of range.
A head kick from Voiwar lands but Mendes takes it in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mendes takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

A leg kick checked by Mendes.
Mendes takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mendes avoids the body shot from Voiwar.
Mendes keeps the fight on the outside.
Mendes tests Voiwar's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Voiwar, as that shot connected.
Mendes throws out a leg kick but Voiwar moves out of range and Mendes only half commits.
Voiwar connects with an inside leg kick.
Mendes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Voiwar can pounce on him.
Voiwar ducks right into an uppercut from Mendes.
Branibar Voiwar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mendes throws the kick towards the body but Voiwar avoids it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mendes working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Voiwar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Voiwar has Mendes up against the cage in a clinch.
Voiwar tries to work over Mendes's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Mendes breaks from the clinch.
A nice combination there by Voiwar.
Voiwar lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Mendes moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Voiwar throws a sloppy head kick
and Mendes counters with a nice low kick that buckles Voiwar's knee momentarily.
Voiwar throws a quick inside leg kick.
Voiwar throws a sloppy head kick
and Mendes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mendes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Mendes throws a monster overhand right that drops Voiwar! Mendes follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
