Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Difelco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dominic Goode!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goode tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Difelco swivels and escapes.

Difelco changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Goode looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Goode is not content to let Difelco control the position.

Difelco decides to stand up, so the ref orders Goode to his feet.
Difelco throws a head kick but Goode moves out of range.
Dominic Goode seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Difelco bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Goode is trying to control Difelco's posture but Difelco avoids it.
Goode is not content to let Difelco control the position.
Goode can't do much from the bottom here.

Difelco tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Difelco is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Goode is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Difelco goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Goode rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Difelco's guard! Nice work there by Goode!
Goode must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Difelco is breathing heavily.
Difelco not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Difelco avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Difelco has his feet on Goode's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Difelco stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Goode.
Goode avoids the head kick by Difelco.
Goode shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Difelco counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Goode's guard now.
Goode looking to hit a scissor sweep but Difelco is one step ahead there.
Goode manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Goode is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Goode stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Goode plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Difelco throws a lazy head kick
and Goode counters with a straight right hand.
Goode has his takedown stuffed

and Difelco counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Goode's guard now.
Jake Difelco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dominic Goode.

Difelco is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Difelco trying to control the position from guard on top but Goode is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Difelco working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Goode's head.
Goode really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Difelco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Difelco wants to control from the top but Goode keeps moving.

Difelco thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Difelco's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Difelco scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Difelco slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Difelco is working to tighten is grip on Goode's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Goode has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Difelco is really squeezing tight and eventually Goode passes out! Difelco breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jake Difelco!
