Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mossan Viverra (ranked 4715 p4p, 4492 weight class) and Talc Chirp Sin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mossan Viverra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Talc Chirp Sin!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viverra fails with the takedown

and Chirp Sin counters with a single leg into guard. Viverra didn't expect that.
Viverra looking to control but Chirp Sin passes into half guard.
Chirp Sin wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Viverra is looking to get back to full guard here but Chirp Sin has managed to pass to side control instead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Viverra is looking for a sweep.
Viverra wants to control but Chirp Sin postures up.

Chirp Sin tries to stand but Viverra is controlling his head.

Chirp Sin decides to stand back up. Chirp Sin steps back and let's Viverra get back to his feet.
Chirp Sin fails with a takedown attempt.
Viverra tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Chirp Sin manages to circle out of the way.

Chirp Sin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Viverra is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Chirp Sin has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Chirp Sin wants to stand but Viverra has his arm trapped.
Viverra is trying to get back to half guard.

Chirp Sin tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Viverra regains half guard.
Chirp Sin seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Viverra shoots in for a takedown but Chirp Sin shows good takedown defense.
Viverra closes the distance but Chirp Sin moves to the side

and Chirp Sin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chirp Sin decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Chirp Sin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Chirp Sin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Chirp Sin stands up and beckons Viverra to his feet.

Chirp Sin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Viverra's guard.
Chirp Sin is standing up over Viverra. Viverra looks to escape but Chirp Sin dives into side control.

Viverra is trying to improve his position.
Viverra wants to control but Chirp Sin postures up.
Viverra manages to get back to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Viverra is trying to get back to full guard.
Chirp Sin wants to get back to his feet.

Viverra throwing hammer fists to the chest of Chirp Sin. What's that going to do exactly?

Chirp Sin is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Viverra shoots in for a double leg but Chirp Sin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And Chirp Sin tries to counter it with a takedown but Viverra pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Chirp Sin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Chirp Sin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Viverra is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Chirp Sin.

Chirp Sin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Chirp Sin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Viverra misses with a wild body shot.

Chirp Sin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Viverra on his heels. He'll look to pass Viverra's guard now, I'm sure.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Viverra wants to stand but Chirp Sin is controlling the position.
Viverra throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Viverra doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Viverra wants to hit a sweep here but Chirp Sin passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Viverra there!

Viverra wants to control but Chirp Sin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Chirp Sin seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Viverra throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Viverra is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Chirp Sin off and has taken his back!

You can see the frustration on Chirp Sin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Chirp Sin is having to fend off submission attempts from Viverra, who is looking to sink in the choke. Viverra doesn't have the hooks in though and Chirp Sin manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Chirp Sin shoots in for a takedown but Viverra shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Viverra shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chirp Sin as he jumps to the side.
Viverra shoots in looking for a takedown but Chirp Sin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Viverra's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
