Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard John Salvacion (ranked 24533 p4p, 4942 weight class) and Chiranjeevi Pankaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Richard John Salvacion has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chiranjeevi Pankaja!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pankaja throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Salvacion half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Pankaja looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Salvacion!
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Pankaja has eaten all the pies!
The strikes coming from Pankaja are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Pankaja tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pankaja has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pankaja controls the position.
Pankaja has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pankaja thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Pankaja takes a little break here. Salvacion wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

It looks like Pankaja might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Pankaja in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A lull in the action here as Pankaja stalls from top position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A lull in the action here as Pankaja stalls from top position.

Salvacion tries to buck Pankaja off but Pankaja is having none of it.
Pankaja controlling the position from side mount.

Pankaja looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Salvacion wants to control but Pankaja postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Salvacion defending against the ground and pound.
The referee asks Pankaja politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pankaja prefers to stall for the moment though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Pankaja shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Salvacion manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Pankaja is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Pankaja is looking to work some ground and pound but Salvacion has wrist control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Salvacion is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Chiranjeevi Pankaja dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Pankaja clinches up against the cage.

Pankaja gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Pankaja content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pankaja not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Pankaja has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pankaja trying to pass the guard but Salvacion defending well.
Pankaja takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Pankaja has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Salvacion defend it? Pankaja steps over the head and cranks it - Salvacion is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Pankaja!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Chiranjeevi Pankaja!
