Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Death Ma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John MacBurgh!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ma wants to clinch.
MacBurgh avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ma lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but MacBurgh circles away quickly and effectively.
MacBurgh shoots in for a takedown but Ma shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ma fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
MacBurgh blocks a leg kick.
And MacBurgh tries to counter it with a takedown but Ma pushes his down on his head and steps out.
MacBurgh slips a jab and a cross from Ma.

MacBurgh rushes Ma and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

MacBurgh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

MacBurgh closes the distance and clinches.
Ma has had enough of the clinch but MacBurgh keeps him there for the moment.
A short right from Ma on the inside.
Ma wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but MacBurgh has him pressed against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
MacBurgh is looking for a takedown.
MacBurgh fails to pull guard.
Death Ma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John MacBurgh.

MacBurgh has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ma uses from the top position.
Ma has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of MacBurgh is proving hard to escape from.

MacBurgh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ma doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ma manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

MacBurgh is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Ma frees his head nicely. Oh but MacBurgh has switched to an armbar! Ma is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
