The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Abdublov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ouellette has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ouellette and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ouellette tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Abdublov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Abdublov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ouellette throws a body punch but Abdublov moves out of range.
Abdublov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ouellette avoids the body shot from Abdublov.
Ouellette tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Abdublov was well out of range. Poor timing from Ouellette.

Omar Abdublov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ouellette fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Abdublov manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ouellette dips a shoulder and cracks Abdublov with a mighty uppercut! Abdublov falls back against the cage and Ouellette unloads with a barrage of strikes! Abdublov is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Ouellette screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
