Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tim Blood (ranked 2058 p4p, 2760 weight class) and Joe Senior (ranked 294 p4p, 382 weight class). The key to victory for Tim Blood has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Blood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Senior!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blood shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Senior manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Senior not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Senior looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Blood slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Blood postures up in Senior's guard and throws a big left but Senior blocks it.
Blood trying to control the position from guard on top but Senior is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Senior trying to keep a closed guard but Blood is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing good reports from Blood's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Blood has gone for a leg lock! Senior slips out almost immediately though and dives into Blood's guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Senior working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Senior stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Senior looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blood with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Senior slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Senior tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
