Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Martin (ranked 2650 p4p, 3862 weight class) and Mike Cozad (ranked 290 p4p, 409 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin throws a quick inside leg kick.
Martin throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Martin lands with a kick to the temple. Cozad shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Martin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cozad throws out the jab.
Martin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Martin fires out a quick counter leg kick but Cozad just manages to avoid it.

Martin moves out of range as Cozad strikes.
Martin is looking to slow Cozad down with leg kicks.
Cozad throws a head kick but Martin moves out of range.
Cozad throws a head kick that misses.
Martin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A nice leg kick from Martin, right into the meat of the thigh.
Martin throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cozad has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Whack! Martin lands a heavy head kick that drops Cozad. The ref tackles Martin to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Cozad was done.
