Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Kennedy (ranked 3474 p4p, 3631 weight class) and Island Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bryan Kennedy !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Island Guy!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kennedy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Guy to the mat! Guy manages to get full guard.
Kennedy landing some decent shots from guard.
Kennedy won't allow Guy to get back to his feet.
Kennedy pushing down on Guy's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Well, if Kennedy is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kennedy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guy keeps working.
Guy wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kennedy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Guy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kennedy in particular looking to stall.
Kennedy is keen to just control but Guy is a slippery customer.
Guy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kennedy . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kennedy scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Kennedy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Guy's head.
Kennedy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kennedy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nice strikes from Kennedy there.
Kennedy is controlling the pace.
Kennedy trying to mount his opponent but Guy defends it.
Kennedy is controlling the pace.
Kennedy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guy keeps working.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kennedy passes to side control.
Guy parries the strikes from Kennedy easily there. Kennedy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Guy to escape.
Kennedy cracks Guy with a big right hand but Guy just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Guy is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kennedy asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Guy takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Kennedy lands a nice forearm strike.

Kennedy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Kennedy misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Kennedy is trying to get an arm triangle but Guy is defending well.
Kennedy content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kennedy in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bryan Kennedy dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Kennedy shoots and misses
and Guy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kennedy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Guy but Guy pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A little jabbing left from Guy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kennedy dives in for a single leg takedown but Guy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryan Kennedy . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kennedy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Guy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Guy gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kennedy .
Guy gets through Kennedy 's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kennedy has Guy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Guy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Kennedy fails to pull guard.
Kennedy is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Guy gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Guy digs a right hand into Kennedy 's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kennedy 's gas tank.

Guy lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kennedy backwards.
Guy throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kennedy s head.
A short uppercut from Guy.
Kennedy 's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A left hand lands to the body for Guy.
Guy working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Guy lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kennedy backwards.
A short right from Guy.
A short right from Guy on the inside.
Kennedy is trying to pull guard but Guy turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Kennedy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Guy pulls his leg out and moves away.

Guy cracks Kennedy with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kennedy looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Guy finish him?

Kennedy is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Guy wobbles Kennedy with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Guy dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Kennedy to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Island Guy!
