Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Myles Murray (ranked 4355 p4p, 1933 weight class) and Jian Zhao (ranked 475 p4p, 232 weight class). Zhao has chosen GZA - Shadowboxin' as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Myles Murray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jian Zhao!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Zhao.
It looks like Myles Murray has been cut.
Zhao looks to land a body kick but Murray moved away.
Good shot there by Murray.
Zhao gets caught flat footed, as Murray shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Zhao has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Iron Sharpens Iron. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Murray accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Murray tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Zhao defends well and Murray ends up having to push Zhao into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Zhao swings wildly with an uppercut but Murray uses good head movement to avoid it.

Murray jumps guard but Zhao turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Murray blocks an uppercut.
Murray escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zhao avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Murray looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Murray avoids the head kick by Zhao.
Jian Zhao is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zhao lands with a hook. Murray tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Zhao jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Murray closes the distance and clinches up with Zhao, looking for a takedown. Murray pushes Zhao against the cage but Zhao circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Myles Murray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Murray throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zhao's waist but Zhao gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Murray off to one side.
Zhao stuffs the takedown.
It seemed like Zhao was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters circle momentarily. Zhao darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Murray uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zhao.
Murray fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zhao avoids it really well and circles away.

Murray shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Zhao wants to sweep here but Murray controlling him for the moment.
Murray wants to control from the top but Zhao keeps moving.
Murray's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Murray missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Murray stays in close to Zhao's body and controls the position.
Murray has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Zhao is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Zhao pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Zhao scores with a nice body kick.
Zhao throws a body punch but Murray moves out of range.
Murray shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zhao sprawls well. Zhao wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Murray gets slowly back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jian Zhao dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Myles Murray's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Zhao lands with a kick to the ribs.
Zhao misses with a body shot.
Zhao jabs Murray to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Zhao just misses with a punch to the body.
Murray is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Murray moves forwards but Zhao connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Murray is rocked!
Zhao scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Murray doesn't seem bothered though.
Oh Murray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zhao lands a front kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Zhao.
Zhao has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Murray is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Zhao Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Murray is out cold, face down on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jian Zhao!
After winning the bout, Jian Zhao thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
