Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Arnold (ranked 5085 p4p, 4906 weight class) and Martin Ferris (ranked 602 p4p, 597 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arnold swats away the attempt to clinch by Ferris.

Ferris tries to keep at a distance but Arnold has taken the fight into the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that James Arnold will probably get the nod.

Ferris might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Arnold was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Arnold throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ferris.
Martin Ferris seems to be getting the better of the standup.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Arnold drops his hands momentarily and Ferris takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Ferris weaves into range and cracks Arnold right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Arnold goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Ferris is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
