Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Gutierrez (ranked 1982 p4p, 2367 weight class) and Danny Raggazza (ranked 276 p4p, 320 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutierrez fails to land with a series of punches.
A nice side step and Raggazza releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Raggazza, as that shot connected.
Gutierrez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Raggazza has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Gutierrez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Raggazza circles away quickly and effectively.
Raggazza tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Raggazza throws a front kick aimed at Gutierrez's knee but Gutierrez avoids it well.
Gutierrez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Raggazza connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gutierrez scrambles back to his feet.
Raggazza fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gutierrez manages to avoid it.

Gutierrez jumps guard and drags Raggazza to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Gutierrez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gutierrez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Raggazza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Raggazza throws a sloppy strike and Gutierrez has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Raggazza is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Gutierrez!

A relieved looking Alex Gutierrez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
