Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zaire Alexander (ranked 3026 p4p, 4953 weight class) and Manny Pacman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pacman.

Pacman takes the fight into the clinch.

Alexander pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Alexander with that takedown attempt.

Alexander shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pacman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Alexander scores with a couple of nice shots.

Pacman makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pacman.

Pacman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alexander manages to get himself to full guard.

Alexander is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Alexander has hold of Pacman's hands but Pacman slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pacman connects with a nice short shot to Alexander's temple.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alexander is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pacman pulls his head out easily.
Pacman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pacman pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Alexander leaves Pacman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pacman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Alexander has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pacman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pacman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alexander is proving hard to escape from.
Pacman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pacman postures up and lands a big shot to Alexander's brow.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pacman controls from within his opponent's guard.
Alexander keeping moving, preventing Pacman from controlling successfully.
Pacman pushing down on Alexander's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Pacman is pressing down on Alexander's thigh, looking to free his foot. Alexander is holding on for now.
Alexander is trying to control but can't.

Alexander is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pacman pulls his head out easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Pacman lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Alexander throws a head kick that misses.
Alexander dives in and grabs Pacman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pacman pushes down on Alexander's head and hops out.
Despite the aggression on Pacman's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Horrible takedown attempt by Alexander or perhaps it was just good defense by Pacman, which made it look bad.

Pacman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alexander, pushing him back against the cage.

Alexander goes for a takedown attempt but Pacman pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zaire Alexander. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pacman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pacman decides to stand back up. Pacman steps back and let's Alexander get back to his feet.

Alexander tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pacman throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Alexander!

Manny Pacman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Alexander breaks Pacman's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Pacman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Pacman wants to free his trapped foot but Alexander is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Alexander pushes Pacman off looking to stand but Pacman dives back in and keeps control.

Well Pacman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
