The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yani shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Schultz sprawls well. Schultz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Yani gets slowly back to his feet.
It looked like Schultz was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Schultz gets a clinch.
Schultz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Schultz is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Schultz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schultz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yani.
