Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Butch (ranked 5764 p4p, 4571 weight class) and Long Dong (ranked 575 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruno Butch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Long Dong!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Dong - that will leave a mark!
Dong has a takedown stuffed.
Butch stuffs the takedown.
Dong dives in and grabs Butch's left leg, looking for a takedown. Butch pushes down on Dong's head and hops out.
Butch tries to counter with a takedown but Dong is quick to defend against it.
Bruno Butch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Long Dong.
Dong is looking to slow Butch down with leg kicks.
Dong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Butch tries to avoid it but Dong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Butch to the ground. Butch escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Butch half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Dong gets a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Butch drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dong pulls his leg out and moves away.

Dong changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Butch looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dong decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Dong darts in and clinches Butch up against the cage.

Dong pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dong is defended easily by Butch.
Butch seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Dong gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dong has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Butch uses from the top position.

Butch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Butch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Dong is controlling Butch's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Butch thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Butch drops back looking for a leg! Dong is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dong manages to kick Butch off! Butch jumps back into Dong's guard.

Butch drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dong looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dong looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dong!


Dong stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Dong moves into the clinch successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A bit of stalling here from Dong.
Dong tries for a takedown but Butch manages to get underhooks.

Dong ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dong no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Butch is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Butch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Butch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Butch is pushing down on Dong's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dong is fighting to maintain full guard but Butch has managed to sneak the leg through.

Butch seems to be working for a kimura but Dong defends the submission attempt.

Butch is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Long Dong dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

Butch takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Dong will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dong cracks Butch with an open hand slap.

Dong shoots in looking for a takedown. Butch tries to sprawl out of it but Dong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Butch manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Butch attempts a counter takedown but Dong avoids it well and moves away.

Dong shoots in for a takedown but Butch shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Butch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Butch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Butch drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Butch as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Dong screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Butch! Nice submission victory there!
