PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Youngblood (ranked 1515 p4p, 2616 weight class) and Vahid Azari (ranked 182 p4p, 294 weight class). Youngblood comes to the cage accompanied by Wake Up Hate. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ricky Youngblood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vahid Azari!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azari defending well as Youngblood loads up on a big left hand.
Azari misses with an uppercut
and Youngblood counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Youngblood staying out of range there.
Youngblood connects with a body shot.
Youngblood has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gunner's School of Combat in the buildup to the fight.

Youngblood lands a big uppercut and Azari crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Azari looks OK. Youngblood waves Azari back to his feet!

Azari is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Azari is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Youngblood.
Azari is still on wobbly legs! Can Youngblood finish him?
Azari connects with a body shot that sends Youngblood's belly button to the back.
Azari catches Youngblood with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Azari seems to have recovered his senses.
Youngblood misses with a jab, cross combination.
Youngblood takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Azari connects with a good right hand that stumbles Youngblood. Youngblood circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Azari throws a shot from downtown. Youngblood moves away and avoids it.
Azari waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Youngblood.
Azari throws a body punch but Youngblood moves out of range.
Azari misses with a right hand
and Youngblood counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Youngblood comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Youngblood misses with a hook. Azari ducked under it nicely.
Azari looks to throw the jab but Youngblood is out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Youngblood throws a good cross that connects.
Youngblood moves forwards but Azari connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Azari digs a good body shot into Youngblood's ribs.
Youngblood avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Azari takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nice jab there from Youngblood.

Youngblood cracks Azari with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Youngblood has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Azari to stand back up!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Youngblood is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Azari hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ricky Youngblood really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Knock Out Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
