Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ecce Homo (ranked 358 p4p, 941 weight class) and Li Xiaodong (ranked 23 p4p, 55 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Homo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Xiaodong momentarily.
Xiaodong looks to score with a jab to the body but Homo is just out of range.
Ecce Homo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left and a right from Homo both land. Nice combination.
Xiaodong throws a poor cross that misses
and Homo counters with a straight right hand.
Homo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Homo throws out a powerful jab.
Xiaodong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Homo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Xiaodong.
Xiaodong wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Xiaodong throws a hook to the side of Homo's head but Homo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Xiaodong connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Homo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Xiaodong.

Homo clinches up with Xiaodong and pushes him back against the cage.
I was talking to Homo's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Homo moves out of range of the strikes.

A big right from Xiaodong misses.
Homo tries to close the distance and clinch but Xiaodong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A good leg kick by Homo.
Xiaodong rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Homo counters with a straight right hand.
Homo misses with an uppercut.
Xiaodong swings widly with a right hand
and Homo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Xiaodong's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Homo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Xiaodong scrambles back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Homo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

A looping hook to the body misses from Xiaodong. Homo does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Homo counters with a low kick, right behind Xiaodong 's knee.
Homo scores with a nice body kick.
Homo lands a leg kick that knocks Xiaodong off balance momentarily.
Homo dips to his left and cracks Xiaodong with an uppercut!
Ecce Homo is winning the standup battle so far.
Xiaodong on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Homo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Xiaodong can do to turn this around?
