Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darken Rahl (ranked 1316 p4p, 2113 weight class) and Frank Diaz (ranked 147 p4p, 219 weight class). Darken Rahl has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darken Rahl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rahl tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rahl to the ground. Rahl escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rahl missing with a left hand there. Diaz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diaz is defended easily by Rahl.
Rahl misses the jab.
Diaz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rahl finds it's way round the side to connect with Diaz's head.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rahl tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Diaz swivels and escapes.
Diaz looks for a takedown but Rahl sprawls well.
Darken Rahl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Diaz.
Diaz slips a straight right by Rahl.
Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Rahl, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Rahl against the cage but Rahl circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Diaz fails to land the takedown.
Rahl throws a lazy right hand but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

And Diaz tries to counter it with a takedown but Rahl pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Diaz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Rahl gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Diaz throws a strike but Rahl rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Rahl has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Rahl got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rahl has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted.

Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rahl doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rahl manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rahl is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Diaz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rahl defends it easily.

Diaz has momentary wrist control but Rahl slips an elbow through the middle.

Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rahl defends well.

Rahl slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Diaz is still in real trouble! Can Rahl finish him?

Rahl is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Rahl is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Diaz wants to take the fight to the mat but Rahl manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Diaz has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rahl avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Diaz is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rahl gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Diaz tries to keep at a distance but Rahl has taken the fight into the clinch.

Rahl will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Diaz up against the cage.

Diaz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rahl pulls his leg out and moves away.

Rahl drives through with a takedown into Diaz's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Rahl arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Diaz's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Darken Rahl!
An out of breath and clearly excited Darken Rahl thanked Conquer for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
