These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asano shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mariatte's guard.
Mariatte looking to hit a scissor sweep but Asano is one step ahead there.
Mariatte has his foot on Asano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Asano works his way back into a safe position though.
Mariatte has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Asano should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mariatte has tightened it up now! Asano should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
