The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renton shoots in looking for a takedown. Charyak tries to sprawl out of it but Renton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Charyak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Renton doesn't manage to clinch there - Charyak circles away.
Charyak fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Renton.
Charyak is looking to chop away at Renton's legs.

Charyak closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Charyak.
Charyak pushes Renton back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Charyak breaks the clinch.
Charyak misses with a body kick.
Charyak thuds a left hand into Renton's body.
Renton misses with a few strikes there.
Renton throws a leg kick
enabling Charyak to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Mark Renton has been cut.
Renton looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A nice leg kick lands there from Charyak.
Charyak cracks Renton with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Renton tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Charyak pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Renton is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
