Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kamaru Simon (ranked 5633 p4p, 6556 weight class) and Zeze Lawrence (ranked 632 p4p, 694 weight class). Simon comes to the cage accompanied by Nightmare. Zeze Lawrence has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zeze Lawrence!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Simon is looking to chop away at Lawrence's legs.
Lawrence throws a counter combo.
Simon throws a leg kick
and Lawrence counters with a stiff right hand.
Lawrence lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Lawrence swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Simon is looking to counter punch.

and Lawrence cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lawrence jabbing away but nothing is landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Simon gets a clinch.

Simon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lawrence throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Simon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Simon scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Lawrence tries to bench press Simon off him but Simon keeps the position.
Lawrence looks to move to half guard but instead Simon has passed into mount! Damn!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Simon cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Lawrence wants to control but Simon is having none of it.
Simon looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Simon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Simon cracks Lawrence with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
