Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eerikki Salmi (ranked 3709 p4p, 1410 weight class) and DeMar DeRozan (ranked 463 p4p, 189 weight class). Salmi comes into the arena with Korpiklaani - Ievan Polkka blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eerikki Salmi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DeMar DeRozan!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salmi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Salmi throws a shot from downtown. DeRozan moves away and avoids it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from DeRozan! But no joy.
DeRozan scoring well with a low kick there.
Salmi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salmi wants it to stay on the feet.
Salmi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
DeRozan flicks out a counter leg kick but Salmi steps away.
DeRozan avoids the body shot from Salmi.
DeRozan feints a counter leg kick.
Salmi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by DeRozan.
Salmi misses with a hook. DeRozan ducked under it nicely.
Eerikki Salmi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salmi throws a body shot but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Good shot there by Salmi.
Salmi throws a series of punches but DeRozan avoids them all with ease.
As Salmi backs off DeRozan throws a huge counter combo but Salmi manages to avoid it all.
Salmi scores with a hook.
Salmi lands the left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Salmi sizes up DeRozan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
DeRozan is rocked!
DeRozan leaves his chin hanging out and Salmi seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! DeRozan crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eerikki Salmi!
A relieved looking Eerikki Salmi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
