Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Corpe (ranked 4522 p4p, 4705 weight class) and Algis Cekuolis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Corpe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Algis Cekuolis!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corpe fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Corpe has managed to clinch.
Corpe stalls.
Cekuolis is trying to break the clinch but Corpe has him pressed against the cage.

Corpe pulls guard successfully.
Corpe throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Corpe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Corpe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cekuolis manages to get himself to full guard.

Corpe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cekuolis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Corpe is one step ahead there.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Corpe holds on and takes a little breather.
Corpe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cekuolis manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Corpe has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cekuolis is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Cekuolis goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Corpe rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cekuolis's guard! Nice work there by Corpe!

Corpe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Corpe throws a head kick but Cekuolis moves out of range.

The referee is keeping an eye on Corpe - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Cekuolis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Corpe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Corpe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Corpe throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Cekuolis tries to kick Corpe off but Corpe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Cekuolis is looking to get back to full guard here but Corpe has managed to pass to side control instead.

Well Corpe has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
