PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brett Stone (ranked 3607 p4p, 2437 weight class) and Chame Boxing Champ (ranked 455 p4p, 333 weight class). Chame Boxing Champ told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brett Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chame Boxing Champ!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Boxing Champ changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Stone tries to close the distance and clinch but Boxing Champ swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stone tries to clinch up
and Boxing Champ counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Stone takes a body punch but keeps moving.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Boxing Champ enables Stone to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Boxing Champ manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Boxing Champ manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Stone can't find room to land a body shot as Boxing Champ controls the action.
Stone tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stone has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Boxing Champ regains guard immediately.
Stone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Boxing Champ is looking to stand up but Stone isn't so interested in that idea.

Boxing Champ pushes Stone off and scrambles back to his feet.
Boxing Champ has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Boxing Champ scores with a one two! Stone had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Boxing Champ lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stone backs up against the cage.
Stone looks to score with a jab to the body but Boxing Champ is just out of range.

Boxing Champ shoots in and gets a takedown into Stone's guard.
Boxing Champ is in close to Stone's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Boxing Champ is fighting to break Stone's control of his arms but Stone is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
We've been told by Stone's head coaches at whitey's gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Boxing Champ is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Boxing Champ gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Boxing Champ wants to stand but Stone is controlling the position.

Boxing Champ has his feet on Stone's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Stone tries to clinch there but Boxing Champ circles away.
Stone walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Chame Boxing Champ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boxing Champ lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Stone is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stone stuns Boxing Champ with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Oh Stone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Boxing Champ drops Stone with a nice combination! Boxing Champ dives into Stone's guard, looking to finish!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Stone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boxing Champ on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stone is in all sorts of trouble here.

Boxing Champ postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Stone looks a forlorn figure.
Boxing Champ has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stone's face.

Boxing Champ is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Stone has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Boxing Champ cracks Stone with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Stone tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Stone wants to hold on but Boxing Champ pushes him away.
Boxing Champ connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Stone tries to lock up and control but Boxing Champ gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Stone squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Boxing Champ working for a guillotine from mount but Stone is in no mood to give up.
Boxing Champ is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Stone can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boxing Champ softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Stone is out cold! Boxing Champ jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chame Boxing Champ!
