PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tavaris Fulton (ranked 1413 p4p, 2588 weight class) and Floki Magnusson (ranked 168 p4p, 274 weight class). Fulton comes to the cage accompanied by In My Projects. Floki Magnusson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fulton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Magnusson shapes to counter with a head kick.

Magnusson moves into the clinch.
Fulton lands a shoulder strike.
Magnusson is looking to control Fulton's arms but Fulton gets an underhook and turns him. Now Magnusson has his back to the cage.

Fulton tries to circle away but Magnusson has him pinned against the cage.

Fulton is working for takedown but Magnusson is calmly controlling the position for now.

Fulton has had enough of the clinch but Magnusson keeps him there for the moment.
Magnusson looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Magnusson pushes Fulton back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Fulton lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Magnusson.
Magnusson's coach down at Kaufman Burning Ram Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Magnusson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Fulton lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Magnusson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Fulton is defending well for now.
Magnusson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Fulton has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Magnusson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Magnusson is trying to drag Fulton to the mat but Fulton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Fulton steps into range and cracks Magnusson with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Magnusson flops backwards and Fulton dives into his guard looking to finish!

Magnusson is rocked!
Fulton arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Magnusson's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

During a confident post fight interview, Tavaris Fulton thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Floki Magnusson had this to say: 'I HATE DUCKS!!!!!'.
