Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Upton Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Farkas Gyuszi!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong slaps away a takedown attempt from Gyuszi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gyuszi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kong manages to avoid it.
Gyuszi fails with the takedown
and Kong counters with a three punch combo that has Gyuszi backing up. Gyuszi nods at Kong to acknowledge the strikes.
Kong tries to clinch but Gyuszi moves out of range.

Gyuszi rushes Kong and presses him up against the cage.
Gyuszi scores with a nice hook to the head.
Kong looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Kong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gyuszi tries for a takedown but Kong circles away easily

and Kong counters with a head kick that drops Gyuszi to the mat! Gyuszi scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Gyuszi gets tackled into the cage by Kong. Kong maintains the clinch.
Kong lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Kong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kong drives through and clinches with Gyuszi against the cage.
Gyuszi effectively controlling the action here.
Gyuszi looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Kong tries a body shot but Gyuszi blocks it.
Gyuszi slows down the pace here.
Kong is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gyuszi is defending well for now.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Kong drives through and clinches with Gyuszi against the cage.
Kong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gyuszi can do to turn this around?

Gyuszi tries to score a body lock takedown but Kong shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

It looks like Farkas Gyuszi has been cut.
Gyuszi is looking to break free of the clinch but Kong has double underhooks.

Gyuszi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kong walks away with a smile on his face. Gyuszi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kong throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Kong closes the distance and pushes Gyuszi back into the cage.

Gyuszi manages to break the clinch.
Kong pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gyuszi back to the cage. Kong follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Gyuszi has managed to clinch.
Gyuszi trying to stall but Kong improves his position.
Upton Kong has scored more points in the clinch so far.
Gyuszi is looking for a takedown.
Upton Kong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Farkas Gyuszi.

Gyuszi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kong's waist but Kong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gyuszi off to one side.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kong lands with a kick to the temple. Gyuszi shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Kong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gyuszi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kong lands a leg kick that knocks Gyuszi off balance momentarily.

Gyuszi is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

The referee is keeping an eye on Kong - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kong throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gyuszi shoots for a double leg takedown but Kong sprawls well. He's pushed Gyuszi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kong throws a right hand that Gyuszi ducks under and follows up with a left that Gyuszi also avoids with ease.
Kong lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Gyuszi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kong but Kong pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Gyuszi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kong is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

That has opened up Farkas Gyuszi's cut even more.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
