Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Fraser (ranked 2827 p4p, 3218 weight class) and Art Mcgowan (ranked 297 p4p, 342 weight class). Art Mcgowan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Fraser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Art Mcgowan!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgowan misses with a wild body shot.

Mcgowan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mcgowan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The fighters are battling for position here. Fraser manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fraser is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Fraser wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A looping hook to the body misses from Mcgowan. Fraser does a little dance to reset his feet.

Fraser gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mcgowan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fraser lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Mcgowan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fraser's guard.

Fraser is trying to hold Mcgowan in close to prevent damage but Mcgowan has managed to pass into half guard.

Fraser sneaks back into half guard.

Fraser is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mcgowan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mcgowan's back!

Fraser is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Mcgowan has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Mcgowan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Fraser's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fraser manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mcgowan manages to get himself to full guard.

Fraser throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mcgowan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Mcgowan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mcgowan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fraser has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Art Mcgowan has got the better of the ground game so far.

Mcgowan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Fraser throwing strikes but Mcgowan recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Mcgowan is trying to control but can't.
Fraser works his way into full mount!
Fraser lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Fraser goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mcgowan is on top in guard.
Fraser is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mcgowan is controlling Fraser's trapped leg to prevent Fraser from advancing to side control.
Fraser thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mcgowan's head.
Fraser works his foot free and advances to mount.
Fraser looking to control and managing it successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mcgowan wants to control but Fraser is having none of it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marcus Fraser will probably get the nod.
That's time! Fraser's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Mcgowan shoots in and bounces Fraser off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fraser has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcgowan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fraser will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fraser is on top in guard.

Mcgowan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fraser engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Fraser tries to free his leg and advance position but Mcgowan is retaining full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Mcgowan has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Fraser has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Fraser scores with a hook to the body.
Fraser goes for a takedown attempt but Mcgowan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fraser is defended easily by Mcgowan.
Mcgowan just misses with a punch to the body.

Mcgowan dives in and scores a takedown into Fraser's guard.

Mcgowan gets to his feet. Fraser looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Mcgowan cracks Fraser with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mcgowan misses with a series of wild punches.

Mcgowan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fraser's half guard.
Fraser regains full guard. Nicely done.

Fraser escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcgowan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mcgowan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fraser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Art Mcgowan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Fraser throws an elbow that misses. Mcgowan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fraser's guard. Nice move by Mcgowan!
